This weekend we had our first Heavy Winter Snowfall of the season. After a long and colorful Fall I think it took us all by surprise. Tonight the overnight low is predicted to be -15. Brrrr. But we are prepared!! The fire is raging in the fireplace. The horses are in the barn with their heavy winter blankets on. And Chicken & Dumplings is simmering in my Lodge Cast Iron skillet.
