Is the Pesticide Glyphosate used on Gluten-Free Prairie Oats? 2024 UPDATE

Looks like Glyphosate in Oats continues to be an issue for some oats.

First of all – Please know that there is absolutely NO Glyphosate used in any of our Purity Protocol Oat products.

Now….please scroll down to learn more….

Besides being used to kill weeds, glyphosate (active ingredient in Round-Up) is also used as a desiccate to dry out the oat plant to help speed up Harvest.

Gluten-Free Prairie’s Purity Protocol growers let Nature decide when to Harvest our oats!

To make a Purity Protocol claim oats must be grown in designated gluten-free fields, (free of any gluten-containing crop for a minimum of 5 years), harvested and processed on designated gluten-free equipment.

Gluten-Free Prairie sources only third-party Certified Gluten-Free Purity Protocol Oats. With this level of safety we believe that Gluten-Free Prairie Oats can take a healthy gluten-free diet to a whole new level.

I started writing about this issue a few years back when almost no one knew about it. Then it started going mainstream and the lawsuits against Quaker were made public. In 2024 Glyphosate in our food is still an important issue. I’m glad to see more consumers learning about the danger of Glyphosate in Oats.
