Gluten-Free Prairie Balsamic Butterscotch Sauce

Add this sauce to any dessert. We especially love it with our Brownie and ice cream to create a delicious and decadent dessert. No one will believe it's GF
Ingredients
  • ⅓ C brown sugar (approx 68 gm)
  • ½ Cup balsamic vinegar
  • 3 TB butter, but into small pieces
  • 1 teaspoon (GF) vanilla
  • ⅓ cup heavy cream
  • ½ kosher salt
Instructions
  1. Simmer balsamic vinegar in a small sauce pan over medium-high heat. Stir and reduce to a thick syrup, about 5 min. Add butter and brown sugar and cook, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved & butter is melted. (approx 2 min) . Remove from heat and add cream, salt and vanilla. Stir to incorporate all.
  2. Cool before serving.
